balprescriptionsgenerallyarefloatingpopulationsandsociallyinvisiblethusget
tingholdofthemposesmajormethodologicalcomplexities.Thispaperfocuseson
highlightingtheissuesunderlyingthestudyofhiddenpopulations,withaparticular
focusontradi-15tionalherbalistsandtheconsumersof indigenoussexualstimu
lantsandfertilityenhancers.Certainspecificmethodologicalchallengesarefaced
byresearchersworkingwithhiddenpopulations,andthispaperexploresthesein
thefieldofhealthtourismbasedontheconsumptionof indigenousherbalmedi
cine.Particularfocusispaidtothemethodologicalchallengesinvolved.Thepaper’s
